Yes, Tucker Carlson, he of the bow tie, low ratings and odious personality, has finally gotten the ax from MSNBC, and it's long past due. The lovely and talented Carlson is being replaced with a show featuring David Gregory, called Race for the White House. There's no real word yet on the format of Gregory's show, but that title sounds suspiciously temporary.
Unfortunately, MSNBC cancelled Tucker's show and not Tucker himself. He'll be hanging around spewing his noisome thoughts as a contributor.
NEW YORK -- The bow tie is out at MNSBC. David Gregory is replacing Tucker Carlson as host of a one-hour show each evening. The news network is making a handful of changes to respond to heavy political interest. Gregory's new show is called "Race for the White House" and will be on each weekday at 6 p.m. starting next Monday.
Additionally, MSNBC is giving Andrea Mitchell a show in the early afternoon, and Dan Abrams show is being relaunched as "Verdict with Dan Abrams". All of these changes will take effect on March 17.
Tucker, I won't miss you at all.
